THIS YEAR'S GRAMMY AWARD WINNERS
FOR CATEGORIES WITH BLUEGRASS ARTISTS:

Well, I will start with Alison Krauss.. I don't know why she has gone over to the "other side". She and Robert
Plant of Led Zepplin fame cleaned up at this year's GRAMMY's. The only reason I am mentioning this is to
release my pent up wonderment(is that a word), puzzlement(I'm creating a new language here) about Alison's
defection from the best music in the world, Bluegrass. Come back Alison!!! Some of the categories that have
been created are as puzzling as why Alison left us. Alison and Robert took home 4 GRAMMY's in the following
categories: (NONE EVEN CLOSELY RESEMBLING BLUEGRASS MUSIC.)

ALBUM OF THE YEAR
RECORD OF THE YEAR
BEST POP COLLABORATION (WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?)
BEST COUNTRY COLLABRATION WITH VOCALS(WHAT THE @##$ IS THIS?)

Maybe someday Alison will come back to from the 'DARK SIDE', sans Mr. 'Hard Rocker'. Better yet, put a banjo
in Mr. Plant's hands. Maybe he could follow Jerry Garcia's lead and join us on the 'Sunny Side". Ok..enough.

Other Grammy winners in REAL Bluegrass Music fashion are:
(We Bluegrassers need to educate the meatheads who don't know the difference between "Country and
Bluegrass Music").

BLUEGRASS ALBUM
Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder
“Honoring the Fathers of Bluegrass: Tribute to 1946 and 1947”.

Well..that's it for Bluegrass Music winners this year. Kind'a sad when you consider all of the great Bluegrass
Artists who were nominated. See ya next year.
Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent have stormed the Bluegrass Music
world this past year with numerous musical awards, including IBMA's
song of the year award for "By The Mark". Their new cd will be
released this year on March 31. Titled: "Brothers From Different
Mothers", it's a blend of traditional bluegrass, Southern Gospel, as
well as some folk and country music influences. Check out their
website at
www.daileyvincent.com/news.php to find out more about
these two masters of harmony. You won't find any more talented or
downright nice guys anywhere. (Just an editoral comment; who in their
'right' mind(s) would NOT nominate Dailey and Vincent for a Grammy?)
