BLUEGRASS MUSIC ONLINE/RADIO
"I was determined to carve out a music of my own. I didn't want to copy anybody. "
Bill Monroe
" I'm a farmer with a mandolin and a high tenor voice."
Bill Monroe
On Jimmy Martin:
"Borrowing $10 from his grandfather, Martin left for the bright lights of Morristown in 1946,
getting a factory job and a band. Fired "for singing on the job", he bought a bus ticket to
Nashville, made his way to the Opry and convinced Monroe to listen to him."

Dan the 'Bassman" and part time webmaster. Well, this site is turning
out to be a full time job. But a "labor or love". I created this site a
couple of years ago and lost it due to some awful infection(Not me the
computer..LOL). I didn't think I would undertake the project again,
but, I talked myself into reviving it. This time I have taken precautions
to prevent losing it again. (Crossed fingers).
NOTE: I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO FIND ALL OF THE AVAILABLE
INFORMATION ABOUT FESTIVALS, SHOWS, JAMS AND OTHER
BLUEGRASS EVENTS IN EACH STATE AS WELL AS AROUND THE
WORLD.. MOST INFORMATION IS FROM EVENTS HELD IN 2008. I
WILL ATTEMPT TO KEEP ALL EVENTS UPDATED FOR THE COMING
YEARS. SINCE THERE IS SO MUCH INFORMATION "HIDDEN" OR
BURIED WITHIN OTHER SITES, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND
AND/OR KEEP ALL INFO UPDATED, BUT, I'LL DO MY BEST. IF YOU
KNOW OF ANY FESTIVAL,SHOW, OR JAM THAT SHOULD BE
LISTED, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT THE ADDRESS BELOW.
